It's not easy to find "farm-sourced" food in the Nation's Capital, so I appreciate that this restaurant is owned by Founding Farmers by the North Dakota Farmers Union and is supplied daily by hundreds of family farms everywhere. They also state on the menu that they are committed to making "everything we can from scratch, from our bread to our booze, using ingredients from farmers we know and trust."
While the word "organic" does not appear on the menu, I like the options offered at this restaurant that include comfort foods like fried chicken and waffles (with 7 cheese macaroni and cheese) and burgers and fish, and the works!
When asked about the oils they cook in, the staff conceded that they use a "vegetable soy blend" for their fried foods.
With that in mind, I'd recommend dining here cautiously and making choices that help you avoid those seed oils for the best experience.
